Cyber Safety and fundraising online
Our Go Raise It fundraising websites are built with cyber security and safety in mind and we have partnered with companies who are just as concerned about this. Both Go Raise It and our technology partners take cyber security seriously. Our fundraising websites are powered by leading global companies Raisely and Stripe – see below for more details about our partners.
Our fundraising websites are designed with schools and students in mind and include the following features:
- Minimum data collection - we operate on a policy where we collect the minimum data possible to run a fundraiser for a school or club. This means we only ask for what we absolutely need to provide the service and don't ask for unnecessary data like addresses and phone numbers (though for our product fundraisers phone numbers are super helpful for distribution so it is an optional field)
- Students can choose their own avatar for their fundraising page OR you can choose to default their profile image to your school logo
- Parent’s are responsible for signing their children up to fundraise and are strongly advised to not use full names on children’s pages – they can actually use any name they like and not even use their child’s first name if they so wish
- No search functions available to find student’s fundraising pages
- URLs/page links are randomly generated and cannot be guessed
- The data we collect for schools and clubs to run their fundraiser is not on sold to anyone for any reason EVER!
Go Raise It are a partner of top-rated fundraising Australian founded platform, Raisely, who have headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. Our fundraising platform is built on top of the Raisely platform but all underlying data and transactions are processed by Raisely – you will find lots of school specific functionality on our websites that you won’t find on an out of the box Raisely site including our customised cyber safe features.
Raisely uses Stripe to process and store all card information – Stripe are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. Raisely themselves are PCI SAQ-A certified.
